              Preparing to Receive Ministry

              • What should I do while you pray for me?
Deliverance is a time of getting set free, letting things come up and out.

I have seen best results when people do NOT pray or lift up their hands.

Relaxing and allowing past memories, hurts or wounds to come up (or enter their mind) as the Lord heals those areas is a part of the healing process.

Over the years I have had people fall asleep and have found that the Lord does a wonderful job even when we fall asleep.

              • What should I do to prepare for ministry?
I believe that may differ from person to person. Some people are somewhat familiar with this style of ministry, some are very unfamiliar with it. Some people are a bit skeptical others are quite trusting.

Reading these FAQ’s and asking questions may help.

Praying and trusting that Jesus directed you to pursue this type of ministry would truly help.

Talking with trusted friends who have received ministry may be of benefit.

If the opportunity avails, you could sit in on a friends ministry time and decide if this would benefit your life.

              • If I am distracted during ministry will this hinder my ministry and my ability to receive?
That is a very good question. The answer is both Yes & No,

No, I have prayed for people who have fallen asleep and they seem to receive a good amount of ministry.

Yes, I believe that could impede your healing experience.

Part of the way God works in our lives is to give us little indications that He is working in our lives. These little indications can be small tingles, warm or cold sensations, sometimes as the stronghold leaves our body small pains can occur, etc.

With that in mind, distractions could hinder your ministry time if you were unable to sense these indicators which work to increase your faith.

              • Can someone who is skeptical or unbelieving about healing get healed?
The Bible is quite clear concerning unbelief when it comes to the Christian life and healing.

Faith is an essential part of the Christian life. To receive maximum benefits faith is required. Jesus was very hard on the religious and hard hearted, but compassionate towards the meek.

I pray for many who are either new to the healing ministry or simply not familiar with the ways God heals. I generally see some healing but much more as they begin to believe.

              • If I fast and pray will this help?
Fasting and prayer is an excellent choice most any time for both physical and spiritual reasons. Most people I pray for do not take that extra initiative. If you feel God is directing you to fast and pray that is wonderful, I would endorse and encourage your obedience to God’s directives.

Fasting is not something I require in order to receive ministry from me.

              • Does self deliverance work? Can you do it yourself?
Yes, self deliverance works. But when you have someone who flows in the gifts of the Holy Spirit and who can discern the root causes in your life, that you often cannot, you get different results.
